Jo Boone Reads:
Like a lot of writers, I have a day job. Like a lot of day jobs, mine has times that are exceptionally busy, and times that are less busy.
September and October of this year (and last year, and the year before that, although there is no particular reason this should be so) fall into the category of “exceptionally busy.”
Add to that, I’ve been studying for a certification exam for my day job.
So this month? My reading has been mostly work-related exam-prep materials. I would tell you about them but it’s a lot of math (logarithms, even!), and I try to keep things fun around here. Maybe next month?
Anyway, while I was at employer-sponsored test prep, I got to eat really good food. Including arepas! I had avocado chicken salad. Yummmmmm

I have not been reading much (at least, not much that’s fun) but I have been writing in earnest on Book 4 of Charlie’s story. I keep telling people who speak to me in person that Book 1 is a sci-fi mystery, Book 2 is a sci-fi adventure, Book 3 is a sci-fi ghost story, and Book 4 is a sci-fi gangster novel. It picks up a thread from Book 1, continues a thread from Books 2 and 3, and should include lots of juicy goodness from Takahashi’s backstory.
Oh, and it includes The Breaking of the Fellowship. After a fashion.
Until next time,
Jo
